You will need one joiner for every joint between fascia lengths. On a 9 metre fascia run using three 3 metre lengths, you need two joiners. Order the joiner in the same RAL colour and depth as your fascia lengths, external corners, internal corners and stopends for a fully matched system.

How to Fit a Fascia Internal Joiner

Position the first Type 1 fascia 3m length and fix it to the rafter tails or backing timber. Slide the joiner onto the end of the first board so that it sits behind the fascia face. Butt the second fascia length up against the first, leaving a 3mm expansion gap between the two. The joiner bridges this gap behind the boards, holding both lengths in alignment.

Bond a colour matched joint cover over the front face of the joint using low modulus silicone sealant. Apply a bead of colour coded sealant around the joint for a weathertight finish. The joint cover conceals the expansion gap and gives the fascia run a continuous, unbroken appearance.

How Many Fascia Joiners Do I Need?

You need one joiner for every joint between fascia lengths along a continuous run. Count the number of 3 metre fascia lengths you are using and subtract one. That gives you the number of joiners needed for that run.

  • 6m run (2 lengths): 1 joiner

  • 9m run (3 lengths): 2 joiners

  • 12m run (4 lengths): 3 joiners

  • 15m run (5 lengths): 4 joiners

Each corner and stopend is a separate fitting. The joiner is only used where two fascia lengths meet in a straight run.
