How to Fit a Type 3 Fascia Stopend

Position the stopend against the open end of the Type 3 fascia board at the termination point. The stopend should cap the face, top return, and U-return channel, fully enclosing the three bend profile. Leave a 2 to 3mm expansion gap. Fix to the backing timber with corrosion resistant screws.

Apply a bead of colour coded sealant around the joint, paying particular attention to the U-channel joint at the bottom where water can collect and enter if the seal is incomplete. Use colour coded fasteners for all visible fixings.
